About Us

Concertant Classics is a U.S.-based boutique artist management company founded by clarinetist Maksim Shtrykov and pianist Misuzu Tanaka. Since 2012, Maksim and Misuzu have maintained an active touring career as the Shtrykov–Tanaka Duo while developing long-standing relationships with presenters, concert series, festivals, and performing arts organizations throughout the United States and internationally.

Drawing on more than a decade of experience both on stage and behind the scenes, Concertant Classics represents a select roster of chamber musicians and ensembles distinguished by their artistry, musicianship, and thoughtful programming.

Our approach to management is rooted in personal relationships, artistic integrity, and long-term development. As performing musicians ourselves, we understand the practical realities of touring—from programming and fees to travel, scheduling, contracts, and communication with presenters—and work closely with our artists to create meaningful and sustainable performance opportunities.

Leadership

Maksim Shtrykov — Founder & Director

Belarusian-born American clarinetist and Juilliard graduate, Maksim Shtrykov has toured extensively throughout the United States and abroad as a soloist and chamber musician, including his New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, as well as numerous concert series and festivals nationwide. Since 2012, he has developed Concertant Classics alongside his performing career, building long-standing relationships with presenters and arts organizations. As Founder & Director, he oversees the company's artistic direction, artist roster, and management operations.

Misuzu Tanaka — Tour Manager & Booking Representative

Pianist Misuzu Tanaka has earned international acclaim for her performances throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, appearing at venues including the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and Alice Tully Hall in New York. Since 2012, she has toured extensively with clarinetist Maksim Shtrykov as the Shtrykov–Tanaka Duo while developing long-standing relationships with presenters and concert organizations. As Tour Manager & Booking Representative, she works closely with artists and presenters to coordinate engagements, programming, and touring logistics.
